Explore the 12th anniversary juried fine art event, ArtFest Midwest ‘The Other Art Show’.  ArtFest is held the same weekend as the Des Moines Arts Festival and will feature Iowa and regional artists. Over 220 artists will be participating. This year approximately 40% are from Iowa and 90% from the Midwest! ArtFest is offered as an alternative, affordable art show— a complement to the downtown show. The show will reflect quality similar to that found at the original “Art in the Park” show held several years ago at the Des Moines Art Center (then moved to the Fairgrounds).  In addition to exposure to local and regional artists, patrons will enjoy the opportunity to browse through approximately 220 booths of affordable art in air-conditioned comfort.
